And now, for something completely different… the 2016 MYC Spring Banquet/Party. Our singular goal: FUN. Plus, we wanted to provide an upscale experience while keeping the cost to our members as reasonable as possible. And, just maybe, raise a little money for the club. Gone are the days of $50 rubber chicken and cash bars. This should be a great way to reconnect with the sailing crowd and kick off the 2016 season!
Wine tasting hosted by David Breen of Milwaukee. We love David Breen and think you will, too. You’ll enjoy sampling David’s very best exclusive boutique wines from around the world. David selects his wines from very unique wineries. Each of the wines you will taste are low-production, clean wines from high quality wineries that normally produce limited lots. David Breen Wines specializes in exclusive, moderately priced "Boutique Wines” from around the world, not available in stores or restaurants in Wisconsin or the Midwest. These are not mass-produced wines - each has a very unique, different style, including several dry farmed wines, and several interesting blends. If you find a wine you really like, all of David’s wines will be available for sale at the party with a portion of any sales donated to MYC! Most of David’s wines are in the $17 to $27 range. We’ll also have plenty of David’s wines set out on our complimentary bar for you to enjoy. David will be pouring all evening and will be giving a little wine-tasting clinic/presentation around 7:30 for anyone who is interested.
Madison’s own Karben4 Brewery is sponsoring the beer for our event. Karben4 is brewing a special batch of Parrott Head IPA this spring that is sure to delight our sailing crowd. Karben4 has been an important supporter of the Madison Parks Foundation and we’re excited to have them onboard for our MYC Spring Party.

WHAT’S FOR DINNER: Lots! We’ll be providing a variety of Tapas and heavy hors d’oeuvers for dinner. Wander around the house and explore the unique tastes. If you are so inclined, please bring a favorite dessert to share.
